On to the next journey....

Hi everyone! Let me start off with a big THANKS to Caitlin, for doing such an amazing job of updating our blog while I was in labor! I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten and how much people enjoyed watching the day progress!

Thank you to everyone for their well wishes! We are home, happy, and totally in love with our little girl. She has already taken over as princess of the house, and we are happy to let her play that role! :)

This is where I sign off and let Lily take over... Be sure to bookmark her blog and follow along with her many adventures!!

Welcome to the world, Lilyana Jean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the lack of updates. Things got moving and then there was just not time or room to update.

Lily was born at 8:58pm via C Section. Devon pushed amazingly for over an hour and a half, but Lily just could not get past Devon's tailbone. She and Devon were not in distress, but the Dr. was confident that there was no getting around in.

8.6lbs!
20 inches

Baby is healthy, daddy is smitten, and mommy (though tired and sore) is happy!!!!

When I left the new family was just grinning at eachother!

Enough rambling- check this little chick out!!!!!

Update!

PUSH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

byeeeeeeeeee!

go lily! best wishes for a fast happy delivery!

Update

4:40pm

Devon is now officially 8 cm, the head is molding (starting to get very low), and she's at station 0. +1 was a mistake earlier.

Her latest doctor thinks she'll be ready to push in an hour. He says he's not missing football, and this baby will be born:)

Mommy's hungry, come OUT Lily!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She got a new dosage of meds because her left side was hurting her a lot. She felt nauseous initially, but now is feeling a lot better.

-Aunt Caitlin

ps- Waiting room now consists of Weaver parentals, Melisa, Aunt Sylvia and any minute, Dad.
2:59 pm

Yowsas. We're still holding on. All Weaver support people are awake and well.
Devon is awake, feeling well, but feeling the contractions a bit, too.

We are waiting for her to move beyond 7cm.

Mr. Weaver and Janice have arrived to the waiting room.

Let's go LILY!

Mommy is happy!

Devon is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry comfortable.

She's decided going med-free is "for the birds".

She's awake, happy, and very calm. Bob is passed out at the bottom of her bed.

The doctor should be in soon, maybe in a half hour to check her progress. The nurses are still so pleased and proud. They keep saying, "Think 10, think 10!"

A baby was born about 20 minutes ago and just now stopped screaming:)

Update:)

Devon is doing AWESOME.

She's finally decided to get an epidural. It was a really hard decision for her, but in the end, it's probably for the better.

Devon's now 100% effaced and 7 or 8 cm dilated.
Miss Lily's head is down low- ready and waiting.

I'm in the waiting room, waiting for Claudia to get some food and for Bob to give us the OK that we're allowed back in.

The doctor thinks she'll be pushing in about an hour, and hopefully will have 2 hours or less of pushing.

Keep sending love and good thoughts!!! :)

10:30 update

Our beautiful mommy to be is doing well! She's in a lot of pain but is steadily breathing through it all.

The contractions are getting stronger and the nurse said she's coming down nicely.

Devon offered to let us stick our hands up and feel Lilys head and then quickly took back her offer.

:)

No epidural as of now...she's still not very sure she even wants one.

Go Devon Go!

Dr. just came in and man is he funny!

Miss Lily is doing well.

Updates:
6cm dilated
90% effaced
+1 station

The nurse said Lily is happy, the cord is happy, the placenta is happy.

Devon's in pain, but is concentrating on breathing really nicely, and then finishes up with a joke when she can function again:)

Apparently, every time a baby is born, they play Brahms Lullabye over the PA system.

HOW CUTE IS THAT?

Excited daddy to be!

Mommy smiling between contractions.

The nurse is proud

9:33am

The nurse keeps commenting how well Devon is doing.

She's in a lot of pain, but they gave her some more medication.

I can't update with photos at this point because the internet connection is so slow.

Bob's resting again, Devon's breathing.

The DR should be in any minute to check on her progress.

Come on LILY!!!!

Update

Aunt Caitlin here at 8am!

Claudia has arrived. I have been camping in the waiting room while Claudia visits Devon and it looks like she's going to get cleared to be in the room too!

They just broke her water, gave her pitocin (sp), and she is dilated to 4-5 cm.

Bob's on the phone with Dad and Aunt Sylvia.

Devon's feeling OK!

Hello my FRIENDS!

Aunt Caitlin reporting for duty. Devon is resting with her ice chips, a bit high on nubane. At last check (1/2 hour ago or so) she was 3 cm, 80% effaced. The head is DOWN!

Bob is...sleeping:)

Baby Comes Soon!!!!

This might just be the last post until I am in the delivery room (and hopefully Caitlin will be able to update during that time!)! I had my 40 week appointment today! I am 2 days away from my due date and have made progress! I am dilated to 2 cm., 80% effaced, and the baby's head is at -1 station. Wow!!!

I was sent to labor and delivery after my appointment for high blood pressure, but it came right down to normal once I laid down and relaxed.

The doctor said that labor should start anytime now...and if not- induction is scheduled for 9/18!!! Keep the good thoughts coming!

A Glimpse @ 9 Months Pregnant!

Love my shirt from Auntie JLL!!! :)

Baby Stuff Everywhere!!!!

As part of his daddy-to-be training, Bob spent the other night putting together the stroller, pack 'n play, and swing.... he even installed the car seat!

Here he is, studying the stroller instructions....

Zoe says, "Dad, uh, can I help? Please? Can I?"

She finally resorted to just watching. :)
